Ken Chew

Ken Chew was elected to the Moraga Town Council in November 2006. As a Council member, he is the Vice-Chair of TSAC (Traffic Safety Advisory Committee), and the council representative of ABAG (Association of Bay Area Governments) and EBMUD (East Bay Municipal Utility District). Prior to his election to the Town Council, Mr. Chew was appointed to the Moraga Planning Commission in February 2003, and then reappointed to serve two more terms in February 2004 and February 2006.

Mr. Chew is an active citizen of Moraga and its greater community. He served on the Acalanes Union High School District's (AUHSD) Measure B Citizen's Oversight Committee and has been on the Board of Directors of the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Contra Costa (CAPC) since 2004.

A 1986 graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mr. Chew is a Registered Civil Engineer (P.E.) and a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is an avid enthusiast of his children's competitive soccer activities.
